Training
To help Georgetown instructors be successful in flexible, adaptable teaching, CNDLS is offering a variety of training opportunities. From multi-day cohort-based Course Design Institutes to recorded Webinars, we hope you will find the training that you need here.
Course Design Institute
The three-day Course Design Institute (CDI) is offered as a cohort experience each week of the summer (June 1-August 14). The CDI is intended to help faculty plan for maximally flexible fall 2020 teaching (in person, online, or some combination of both). The institute emphasizes creating a strong community of learners, designing a variety of activities, and giving responsive feedback.
Recorded Webinars
CNDLS offers a library of recorded webinars from Spring 2020 on Georgetown-specific tools and strategies for remote teaching and learning. Ranging from 15-minute mini-webinars to 45 minute full webinars, you’ll find pedagogical advice as well as technological tips and tricks.
Teaching, Learning, and Innovation Summer Institute
CNDLS’ annual Teaching, Learning, and Innovation Summer Institute (TLISI) took place virtually in May 2020, consisting of sessions, panels, a social hour, and more. Recordings of sessions can be found on the TLISI website.
Digital Learning Days
In preparation for Fall 2020, CNDLS will be offering a virtual iteration of Digital Learning Days which will be a deep dive into learning about the digital tools that we support here at Georgetown. Please stay tuned for more details!
