Resources to prepare for a flexible Fall 2020
CNDLS invites you to explore the variety of options listed below that will help you adapt your class for a flexible Fall 2020. As a community, we have a plan for the fall semester, but we still face a number of unknowns. Whatever happens, we know for certain that we must maximize our ability to pivot–even once classes begin–to different modalities. Whether we are fully remote or a hybrid of in-person and remote, we hope the resources below will help you with this transition.
Our annual Teaching, Learning, and Innovation Summer Institute (TLISI) invites the entire Georgetown community of educators to spend dedicated time reflecting on their own teaching and learning in an effort to continually refine and enhance the academic experience of our students for Fall 2020.
The Course Design Institute (CDI) is intended to help faculty plan for flexible fall 2020 teaching (remote or hybrid). Each workshop will cover designing and delivering courses for the fall, with an emphasis on creating a strong community of learners, designing meaningful activities, and giving responsive feedback.
Need help with grades in Canvas? Looking to learn how to record lectures in Panopto? Wondering how to use break out rooms in Zoom effectively? In August 2020, CNDLS will run Digital Learning Days, a series of workshops on how to use the tools and technologies for teaching and learning at Georgetown.
